Portal subscription

Your subscription is based on the number of active employees in the Portal, whether you choose Luminar Managed Cloud or run the Portal on your own server.

Deployment options

Managed Cloud

Your employee licence plus the Managed Cloud charge. Luminar looks after the hosting, backups and standard Portal updates for you. Lower initial setup cost; best for customers who want Luminar to manage the service.

On-premise

The Portal runs on your own server. You manage the hosting environment while Luminar continues to provide the software under licence. Higher one-off setup cost; no Managed Cloud subscription. Your IT team can apply standard Luminar updates, or opt for Luminar-managed updates at 15% of the annual software licence, minimum £1,500/year.

Recommended hardware

Purpose-built terminals keep clocking quick and straightforward. Staff can clock in, clock out and record breaks without accessing the wider Employee Portal from the terminal.
